Appearance
The sharp ears, darkened skin, and black eyes scream 'Valenar', but her facial features are too human to discredit. The Khoravar is a strange sight to behold; truly, one of the purest forms of 'half-elf' one can get. Distinctly half human, distinctly half elf.Safiya stands rather tall at 5'7", slim shouldered but lean. Her hair is black and falls in tight curls to her shoulders, more often than not pulled into a tight bun out of her face.
Whether or not Safiya boasts any tattoos or scars is anyone's guess. The Khoravar prefers to keep in layered garments; a cotton coat over a set of breathable silken tunic and trousers bound by a belt with multiple clips, thick cotton forearm-length gloves, and leather boots with multiple loops to hold a variety of knives. Her weapons are many but often hidden. The most visible is a scimitar she keeps at her belt, and following that are a row of small knives clipped into various places upon her clothing.

Safiya Dekker is nobody. With a name of a nobody, a face of a nobody, but a mark of a Great House, her lineage is just as muddled and shadowed as the rest of her. Her files, if any, are drenched in black ink and all that remains is reputation. The lower levels of Sharn speak of the Boromar Clan first, of a girl that had assumed their ranks as a child and, for a while, was just as much a Halfling as the rest of them. They called her Halak's Dog until, at thirteen, she was twice the height of Halak himself. Then she went away. The higher levels of Sharn speak of a woman once in the Warning Guild. She didn't fit in very well- Quick to resort to violence and generally very terrible at understanding the nuance of society. The same girl found her better purpose fighting in the war, but when that could no longer feed her purpose, she was lost to history again.Halak's Dog, or as she's referred to more disparagingly by her Halfling colleagues, Halak's Bitch, is now a mere murmur in the slums of Sharn. Most dare not to speak of her, lest they draw the ire of Halak himself and risk meeting her as she collects their dues.A Khoravar that looks more like the savages of Valenar, her foes might claim, and just as vicious a fighter. She's cold and unfeeling, barely living, a monster with no regard for mercy or life. The rumors get more egregious, of course, but only one remains consistent: If Halak orders her to kill, she will only ask who.All rumors and hearsay have questionable validity, but that is all that's known of Safiya.
"Halak needs to tighten the leash on his fucking dog. She's not rabid, that one, but she will bite without warning... Viscous, too. I've seen her take fingers clean off and teeth straight out of the mouth when Halak orders her to. I don't think she feels anything about it either is the worst part! Psychotic bitch."
Heard in the Stores district of the lower levels, from a member of the Boromar Clan."She fought with us, yeah, but not much else. She was a good fighter but a shit soldier. I think, at any given point, she would've left any one of us in the dust and wreckage if it meant saving her own skin or skinning the enemy."
Heard in Wroat, from a veteran."I knew her mother, once. We weren't close but we would help each other- The Khoravar do that, you know? Still, Ms. Dekker didn't seem entirely fond of our kind. As much as we would lend a hand, it was impossible to miss her subtle sneers and wary looks in our direction. She called her girl a "Devil Child" and I mourn that I never looked closer into it- Who knew what went on behind those closed doors, and we haven't seen Safiya since. Heard about her, though. Not good things."
Heard in Oldkeep, spoken by a member of the lower Sharn Khoravar."Safiya spit in the face of our order when she came and left. She was never truly devoted to the cause- Always looking to better herself, always just distanced enough from her comrades that she could split when it would benefit her. No surprise to us, she did exactly that."
Heard in the upper levels of Sharn, by a member of the Warning Guild."Keep your voice down, you fool. She's a good worker- One many of us have hired for the dirty work on the lower levels, but none of them would tell you that. She's a quality investment if you need someone to disappear, a message sent, or something taken. She's not one to hesitate. She wouldn't advertise it herself, either, but the girl is brutal. Try and test your luck with her and what's left of you would scare even the strongest of us."
Heard near Highwater, by an unnamed individual of considerable status.

"A partner on one job that turned into multiple. Maybe a friend. It is hard to tell. I do not know why he shows his cards to me with such little shame... It is as though he wants me to do the same. I am unsure of the cost, and yet I consider it anyway."

Halak Boromar
boss
"A little man with a big empire, though he's not the emperor of it. Still, I have more respect for him than I would any other stunted Boromar. He has taught me valuable lessons that are impossible to forget, even being cruel in his manner."
